Dr. Jelena Vlajic

Dr. Jelena Vlajic is a Senior Lecturer in Supply Chains and Operations Management in Queen’s Management School (QMS), Queen’s University Belfast. Jelena holds BSc in Industrial and Multimodal Transport and MSc in Logistics Systems from Belgrade University, The Faculty for Transport and Traffic Engineering, Serbia, and a PhD from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. She is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT) in the UK and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Dr. Vlajic joined QMS in 2012. Since then, she has taught logistics, supply chain and operations management courses, and supervised master and PhD students in QMS, as well as contributed to logistics related courses in international MBA programmes in several countries in Europe. Jelena is passionate about creating knowledge on sustainable supply chains and operations that are economically viable, environmentally friendly, socially responsible, as well as robust and resilient to the impact of unexpected events. She has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed articles published in international journals and as well as book chapters.
