DAF Trucks UK & Ireland has announced four senior management appointments: Louis Jones promoted to Marketing and Business Intelligence Director, Luke Agius promoted to Retail Parts Sales Director, Graham Crouch appointed as Sales Engineering Manager and Andy Mudie promoted to Aftersales Services Manager.
DAF Trucks UK & Ireland is the British and Irish subsidiary of DAF Trucks N.V., wholly owned by PACCAR Inc (NASDAQ: PCAR), the Bellevue, Washington-based commercial vehicle manufacturer. PACCAR reported 2025 annual revenues of $28.44 billion (€26 billion), with DAF's European segment contributing $4.97 billion (€4.55 billion), down 1% year on year. DAF held 13.5% of the over-16-tonne European truck market in 2025, down from 14.4% in 2024 as the total European market contracted to 297,000 units. UK and Ireland-specific revenue and market share are not separately disclosed. Nigel Beckett leads DAF Trucks UK & Ireland as Managing Director; James Stewart was appointed UK Sales Director earlier in 2026.
Jones, previously EV and Connected Services Director, takes on the additional remit of marketing, customer service, business analysis and sales engineering while retaining responsibility for DAF's electric vehicle development. Agius brings 12 years of PACCAR experience across UK and US roles. Crouch joins as Sales Engineering Manager as a qualified DAF Master Technician. Mudie moves to Aftersales Services Manager with over 30 years of commercial vehicle experience.
The structural driver is a market in structural transition. The European heavy truck market contracted 6% in 2025 and the UK faces additional pressure from the ZEV mandate requiring 10% zero-emission heavy truck sales by 2026, rising to 100% by 2040.
DAF's decision to combine the EV director role with broader marketing and business intelligence in Jones's appointment signals that electric vehicle commercial strategy is no longer a separate function but a core marketing and customer management discipline. The Retail Parts Sales Director promotion reflects the strategic importance of aftermarket revenue: PACCAR Parts delivered record revenue globally in 2025, providing margin resilience when new truck volume softened.
For the sector, the four-role restructure at DAF UK & Ireland reflects how commercial vehicle OEMs are reorganising leadership to manage the simultaneous demands of market contraction, ZEV mandate compliance and the growing revenue importance of parts and aftersales relative to new vehicle sales.
