DPD Ireland has announced a €10m investment in a second distribution hub at Gateway Logistics Park, Newlands Cross, Naas Road, Dublin 22, creating more than 200 jobs across operations, driving and administration as the company moves to meet rising parcel volumes nationwide.

According to Geopost, the expansion is driven by continued strong performance across next-day delivery, logistics services and out-of-home solutions. The new hub will deploy 270 autonomous robots to replace existing conveyor operations and enhance sorting capabilities, enabling the facility to handle up to 10,000 parcels per hour at full capacity.

The new distribution hub is due to be fully operational by October 2026, providing DPD Ireland with significantly expanded capacity ahead of the peak Christmas trading period. The facility at Gateway Logistics Park benefits from direct access to the Naas Road corridor, one of Dublin's primary arterial freight routes connecting the capital with the M50 and national motorway network.

The investment reinforces DPD Ireland's position as one of the country's largest parcel operators at a time of sustained growth in Irish e-commerce and out-of-home delivery demand. The addition of autonomous robotic sorting technology places the new hub among the most technically advanced parcel processing facilities in Ireland, supporting both throughput capacity and operational consistency across the network.
