SJH Fulfilment, a Kilkeel-based logistics firm founded a decade ago by entrepreneur Stephen Henderson, is investing £3.5 million in a new 46,000 sq ft facility in Moneyreagh as it targets £50 million in sales by 2036. The move will double the company's existing warehousing footprint and support 25 permanent jobs within the next three years.

SJH Fulfilment is a Northern Ireland fulfilment company currently employing 37 people, serving fashion, wellness and beauty sector clients across GB and EU markets. Its growth strategy targets revenues of £3.5 million within 12 months, £5.5 million within three years and £50 million by 2036.

The new hub sits at Maryland industrial estate in Moneyreagh and will support SJH's larger fulfilment contracts while marking the launch of a new 10-year growth strategy. Five full-time employees have already been recruited at the site, with a further 20 permanent roles expected over the next three years and 10 seasonal positions added this winter.

The structural driver is Northern Ireland's dual-market access under the Windsor Framework, which is drawing multinational brands seeking to consolidate GB and EU warehousing operations through a single jurisdiction.

The company has secured a contract with a multi-billion-dollar US brand consolidating its GB and EU warehousing operations through Northern Ireland, a deal SJH said was won in part through confidence built around trading under the Windsor Framework and the region's access to both GB and EU goods markets.

Stephen Henderson, founder of SJH Fulfilment, said, "Opening this site is the single biggest step we've taken as a business, and it couldn't come at a better time. We started small, close to home in Kilkeel, and have proven that a Northern Ireland fulfilment company can compete for major national and international brands. This investment gives us the scale, location and capability to win larger contracts while creating high-quality permanent jobs. Securing a major US brand for our new facility is a strong endorsement of what we can offer and the opportunity ahead."

The Moneyreagh site's proximity to DPD provides access to later parcel cut-off times for GB and EU fulfilment, while its location closer to the Port of Belfast can help reduce container and onward distribution costs.

For the sector, the expansion illustrates how Northern Ireland's post-Brexit trading position is becoming a distinct commercial advantage for fulfilment operators targeting cross-border brand consolidation.
