Green logistics leader Mober has forged a strategic partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to advance workforce development in the Philippines’ emerging electric vehicle (EV) sector according to a BusinessWorld Online report.
The collaboration, formalized at TESDA’s Central Office in Taguig, aims to provide industry-aligned training for EV driving, maintenance, assembly, and customer service roles, ensuring a pipeline of employment-ready talent.
Under the initiative, Mober will contribute trainers, facilities, access to its operational EV fleet, and practical expertise, while TESDA ensures all programs meet national competency standards. The partnership reflects Mober’s commitment to sustainable logistics and people development, positioning the company as a key partner in shaping a skilled green workforce.
A notable focus of the programme is gender inclusion. Through Mober’s MoveHer campaign, women are targeted for upskilling in traditionally male-dominated logistics roles. TESDA data highlights strong workforce readiness among female TVET graduates, who posted an employment rate of 85.67%, above the national average. By providing structured support, Mober and TESDA aim to bridge gender gaps in the technical workforce while supporting the Philippines’ broader sustainability agenda.
“This partnership allows us to contribute to nation-building by creating pathways for skilled female professionals in the green economy,” said Miguel Bermundo, Mober Vice-President for People and Sustainability. “As we expand our EV fleet, we are equally committed to strengthening the capabilities of our workforce, meeting both client needs and social priorities.”
Mober plans to scale training programmes throughout 2026, consolidating its role as a leading green logistics provider in the Philippines while supporting sustainable, future-ready supply chains.
