Patrick Daly, Managing Director of Alba Consulting, has been confirmed as a member of the judging panel for the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2027, bringing internationally recognised expertise in supply chain strategy, logistics management, and the translation of global trade dynamics into operational decisions to one of Ireland's most established logistics and transport recognition programmes.

Known as The Macro-to-Micro Strategist, Daly has built a consultancy career advising manufacturing and distribution leaders on how to navigate a rapidly changing global landscape shaped by geopolitics, trade dynamics, and economic shifts.

His background in engineering, combined with hands-on consulting engagements delivered across more than 20 countries on four continents, gives him a command of supply chain management and logistics strategy that spans the full breadth of operational complexity.

Moreover, his clients have included multinationals such as PepsiCo, Pfizer, and Ornua, organisations whose supply chain requirements demand the kind of rigorous, globally informed thinking that Daly has made the hallmark of his practice.

Additionally, his contribution to the wider professional community extends beyond client work. Daly is the author of a book on global supply chain relationships and hosts the Interlinks podcast and radio show, platforms through which he connects logistics innovation, procurement strategy, and supply chain resilience thinking to a broad audience of industry practitioners.

That sustained public engagement with the ideas shaping the logistics and transport industry positions him as an evaluator with both the strategic depth and the sector literacy to assess entries across a programme as broad and demanding as the Irish Logistics and Transport Awards.

The Irish Logistics and Transport Awards 2027 spans 33 categories recognising excellence across freight, transport, supply chain, warehousing, and sustainability, from Overall Logistics and Transport Excellence and End-to-End Logistics Provider of the Year to Green Supply Chain Excellence, Technology Provider of the Year, and Women in Logistics and Transport.

Daly joins Judging Coordinator Declan Allen of TU Dublin, Seamus Kavanagh of the Irish International Freight Association, Michael O'Callaghan of IPICS, Dr Sourav Sengupta of Trinity College Dublin, Claire Percy of Dublin Port, Maurice Brady of TU Dublin, and Philip Tracey of Ace Express Freight.

The awards gala will take place on 4 March 2027 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, with entries closing on 16 October 2026.
