In a throwback to the awards programme earlier this year, a feature article published by The Irish Times has spotlighted several of the standout winners from the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2026, drawing national attention to the 16th annual ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin.

The piece centres on Ace Express Freight, which emerged as the night's standout performer, securing the Overall Logistics & Transport Excellence Award, Freight Forwarding Company of the Year and Employer of the Year. 

Commercial director Eamon Galavan said the company was "overjoyed" with the result, adding: "While sometimes we are our own worst critics, this shows that we do something right and it's nice to be recognised."

BWG Foods was also honoured as a triple award winner, taking the Green Impact Award, Green Supply Chain Excellence and Sustainable Team of the Year, while logistics director Joanne Mellon collected the Logistics & Transport Leader 2026 title for her work pioneering consolidated delivery models and alternative-fuel fleet operations in Irish supply chain and distribution circles.

Dublin Express took the Logistics & Transport Team of the Year and Passenger Transport Company of the Year titles. Bus Éireann won the Customer Focus Achievement Award, Manfreight claimed both Excellence in Warehousing and Independent Transport Operator of the Year, DHL Health Logistics took the 3PL Achievement Award, Customs Support Group won Best Use of AI, Primeline Group secured the Green Transformation Award, Motia was named Technology Provider of the Year, and Drivrr Group took Best Use of Technology.

Judging co-ordinator Declan Allen said the standard of entries was exceptionally high, reflecting strong industry impact and professional excellence across logistics, supply chain and transport nationwide.

The Irish Times serves as Communications Partner to the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards, providing national editorial coverage that extends the programme's reach beyond the gala night itself. 

Hosted by Colm O'Regan, this year's ceremony welcomed 211 guests and drew 97 entries from 27 companies across the freight, warehousing, fleet management and transport sectors.
