United Arab Emirates-based AD Ports Group has signed an agreement to acquire Germany-based MBS Logistics for an enterprise value of AED300 million (€70 million), according to reporting in Fresh Plaza.

The acquisition covers 100 per cent ownership of MBS Logistics' core business, excluding its joint ventures, and remains subject to European Union regulatory approval. Completion is expected during the second half of 2026.

MBS Logistics reported revenues of AED870 million (€205 million) in 2025. The company operates freight forwarding activities in Germany and Central Europe, with networks across China, Vietnam and the United States.

The acquisition expands the logistics operations of Noatum Logistics, AD Ports Group's logistics arm, under the leadership of Jochen Thewes. According to the companies, the addition of MBS Logistics increases AD Ports Group's presence in Central Europe and expands its freight forwarding network across Europe-Asia, Trans-Pacific and Trans-Atlantic trade routes.

MBS Logistics operates 26 offices globally and employs more than 450 staff. Its services include air, ocean, road and rail freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs, project cargo and multimodal transport solutions.

The company serves sectors including aerospace, automotive, apparel, retail, consumer goods, e-commerce, engineering, technology, fast-moving consumer goods and healthcare. Its operations in Germany provide access to logistics hubs across Central Europe, including the Nordics, Benelux, Switzerland and Eastern Europe.

MBS Logistics also operates offices in China, Vietnam and along the eastern seaboard of the United States. The acquisition strengthens AD Ports Group's European logistics capabilities whilst providing access to established freight forwarding networks connecting Asian manufacturing centres with European and North American markets.

Noatum Logistics operates integrated logistics services including freight forwarding, contract logistics and supply chain management across multiple international markets.
