Dubai-based logistics and transportation provider Aramex has acquired Dublin-headquartered Hawthorn Logistics Solutions, with founders Martin and Terry remaining in the business for two years to support the transition, according to a company announcement.

The transaction was completed on 26 February 2026. Founded in 2007 as a three-person operation, Hawthorn Logistics Solutions has developed into a significant force in Ireland's freight industry over 18 years.

The founders stated that as both approach the stage in their careers requiring future planning, they have partnered with a company they believe can continue and enhance the business they have successfully grown. They expressed appreciation for the support of clients and staff over the years and confidence that the new era will continue to recognise and reward that loyalty.

Aramex was founded in 1982 and has emerged as a global leader in logistics and transportation, listed on the Dubai Financial Market since 2005. The company operates in over 600 cities across 70 countries and employs more than 16,000 professionals worldwide.

Headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, Aramex's strategic location facilitates extensive customer reach globally, bridging connections between East and West. The company provides customised logistics solutions and positions itself to reach businesses and consumers regionally and globally from its central location at the crossroads between East and West.
