Dachser, a Germany-headquartered logistics and transport provider with an established UK and Ireland presence, has expanded its Northern Ireland operations with the opening of a new branch in Belfast, enhancing regional access to European road freight and distribution networks.
The family-owned company, headquartered in Kempten, operates logistics bases across Great Britain and Ireland, including facilities in Northampton, Dartford and Rochdale. The Belfast expansion gives shippers in Northern Ireland direct connectivity to Dachser’s company-owned European logistics network, supporting exporters with daily departures, faster transit times and integrated transport services across UK, Irish and European markets.
Effective 1 January, the new Belfast branch is being led by Nathan Gavin, an experienced logistics and transport professional. Gavin previously served as branch manager for DB Schenker in Belfast and brings significant operational and commercial expertise to the role.
Dachser said customers in Northern Ireland will benefit from improved service reliability, high-frequency departures and seamless access to European road freight corridors. The move aligns with continued demand from manufacturers, exporters and distributors seeking dependable cross-border logistics solutions amid evolving trade requirements.
Announcing the expansion, Mark Rollinson, regional managing director UK & Ireland at Dachser, said, “Opening an office in Belfast underlines Dachser’s commitment to growth. Our distribution and logistics services for exporters to Europe are well established across Great Britain and Ireland. With Nathan on board, we aim to strengthen our presence in Northern Ireland, an important economic region.”
