DHL Supply Chain is investing £550m in a new health logistics centre in Derby and expanding automation across its UK and Ireland operations. With over £860m already committed to digitalisation in recent years, this move accelerates DHL’s 2030 vision to scale globally with robotics and smart technologies at its core.

The Derby facility will anchor DHL’s health logistics network, offering cold chain and cleanroom capabilities to serve the booming life sciences sector. New tech, including 750 Assisted Picking Robots and Boston Dynamics systems, will drive precision, reduce manual strain, and enhance value for customers in e-commerce and healthcare.
