PING Group is fast-tracking the digital transformation of its cargo operations at Belfast International Airport, launching a dedicated digital centre of excellence in partnership with tech firm Ubloquity. This move responds directly to tightening EU regulations around product traceability and sustainability, with real-time asset management and digital product passports now becoming essential.

Ubloquity will help embed advanced technologies including distributed ledgers and digital twins, enabling full traceability across aerospace and defence supply chains. The collaboration is designed to reduce friction, boost automation, and future-proof logistics in line with new EU frameworks like the GSPR and ESPR.

This marks a strategic shift: compliance is no longer a box to tick—it’s an opportunity to rewire operations for resilience, sustainability, and next-gen efficiency.
