Evri has made its first acquisition with a multi-million pound deal to buy Coll-8, an Irish customs and logistics firm, marking a strategic push into faster, frictionless cross-border delivery. This gives Evri a tech-powered gateway into the EU and cuts delivery times to Ireland from five days to two, crucial for time-sensitive logistics and retail clients.

Coll-8’s automated customs clearance platform and 500-strong PUDO network will plug directly into Evri’s operations, streamlining end-to-end service from the UK into Ireland and beyond. The deal strengthens Evri’s post-Brexit position, just as it prepares for a merger with DHL eCommerce UK and eyes over two billion shipments a year.

The takeaway is clear: speed, tech integration and scale are fast becoming non-negotiables in the fight for international parcel dominance.
