Logistics and transport operators are facing relentless cost pressures and fragmented digital systems. Huawei is moving to fill the gap with its SMART Logistics & Warehousing Solution, a framework designed to unify operations across ports, airports, rail and road networks.

At the core is a “1+N” model that links a central smart operations cloud with intelligent coordination across logistics parks and yards. This provides platform-based services, AI-driven scheduling, automated cargo handling and fully unattended transport. Data is shared securely, while Huawei’s Wukong recognition model accelerates document processing and machine learning enhances real-time planning.

The results are tangible. Huawei’s technologies now underpin operations at over 100 ports, 300 rail lines, 210 airlines and 200,000 kilometres of road networks. Partners including SF Technology, the State Railway of Thailand and Shandong Port Technology Group are already integrating the platform to advance efficiency, resilience and capacity.

The strategic aim is clear: align the right digital tools to specific operational challenges. By combining intelligent sensing, broadband connectivity and cloud infrastructure, Huawei is driving concepts such as Mobility as a Service and Logistics as a Service into practice.

For global logistics players grappling with complex supply chains and rising OPEX, the question is whether integrated intelligence is now the only sustainable route forward.
