Earlier this year at the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2025, the Irish Defence Forces – J4 Logistics Branch team was recognised as the Logistics & Transport Team of the Year for successfully executing a complex, first-of-its-kind pre-deployment of Irish military assets to a logistics hub in Germany. 

Their effort enabled Ireland to meet its commitment to the 2025 Battle Group and respond in line with the EU’s rapid deployment concept, demonstrating operational excellence and strategic foresight.

Judges commended the team for its exceptional expertise and commitment, particularly noting the innovative solution that reduced standby periods while securing international support for vehicle storage. 

“The J4 team demonstrated outstanding operational efficiency and global collaboration, setting a high standard for logistics and transport excellence,” the panel noted. “Their work is a clear example of forward-thinking leadership and teamwork, establishing a benchmark for the sector.”

This recognition underscores the critical role of strategic planning, innovation, and international collaboration in shaping Ireland’s logistics and transport industry. With momentum building across the sector, the question now is: which teams will set the benchmark in 2026? Winners of the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2026 will be announced on 26th February, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, celebrating Ireland’s leading logistics and transport professionals before hundreds of senior executives.
