Limerick-based logistics technology company WrxFlo is planning substantial international expansion over the next year, with new hires already joining its UK operation and a US on-the-ground presence targeted for 2027, following €4.5m in funding raised to date.

According to Business Post, WrxFlo was founded in 2019 by Tim Crowe, Jennifer Kelly and Ken Sheehan at the Nexus Innovation Centre at the University of Limerick, with the three co-founders having previously worked together at Dell. The business currently employs 60 staff split between Ireland and India.

Tim Crowe, co-founder and CEO, said: "If you take any manufacturing or logistics company, they're basically made up of customers chasing orders. Those orders are made up of raw materials that have to be brought together in a manufacturing process to get shipped. That's a long and complex process with lots of information being generated through that process. Typically lots of different applications are used to capture that information and it's very disjointed. At WrxFlo, we take away the paper and put in our applications to connect everything together."

The platform is designed to consolidate fragmented operational data across manufacturing and logistics workflows, giving teams access to the right information at the right time. Early customers included Dell and SumUp, with the business growing consistently each year since its founding.

Crowe said the most recent funding round was focused on accelerating sales growth and developing artificial intelligence solutions. "We want to continue that acceleration," he added.

WrxFlo is supported by Enterprise Ireland, whose international network Crowe described as central to the company's expansion efforts in the UK and US. "Their network across the world is phenomenal," he said.

Despite the international push, Crowe was clear that domestic growth remains a priority alongside overseas expansion. The company's founding during the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic shaped its resilience-focused approach to product development and customer value.
