Logistics provider Manfreight has strengthened its Northern Ireland operations with the £9 million acquisition of a 100,000 sq ft warehouse at 122–126 Duncrue Street, a move supported by Danske Bank. The new facility will serve as an ambient storage hub for dry freight, complementing its existing chilled warehouse at Belfast Harbour and temperature-controlled site in Skelmersdale, England.

The acquisition reflects Manfreight’s strategy to expand its BRCGS-accredited warehousing network across the UK and Ireland, ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards. The company, headquartered in Craigavon, now offers an integrated logistics model spanning warehousing, distribution, and supply chain management, emphasising efficiency, transparency, and sustainability.

With growing demand for flexible storage and full digital tracking, the Belfast facility will provide customers with end-to-end visibility, reinforcing Manfreight’s ability to maintain control over transportation, distribution, and storage. Managing director Chris Slowey highlights the focus on seamless data integration, bespoke service, and scalability across sectors, positioning the company to respond swiftly to market needs.

Danske Bank’s support underscores confidence in Manfreight’s expansion, signalling robust local investment and a commitment to growing its end-to-end logistics capabilities. This development positions the business to meet increasing demand for agile, fully tracked supply chain solutions in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Manfreight now operates as a multi-site logistics partner across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, leveraging acquisitions like Duncrue Street to strengthen its market presence and operational control while offering customers enhanced service continuity.
