Michael O'Callaghan, Director and Instructor at IPICS The Supply Chain Management Institute, has been confirmed as a member of the judging panel for the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2027, bringing deep expertise in supply chain management, logistics training, and professional certification to one of Ireland's most established transport and logistics recognition programmes.

O'Callaghan is an APICS Master Instructor on both the APICS Instructor Development Program and in Instructor Training, with a certification portfolio that spans CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, and CTSC designations, covering the full breadth of supply chain management and logistics professional education.

He instructs across online public courses, company-specific programmes, and blended learning environments, and serves as Subject Matter Expert for the APICS CPIM, a role that places him at the centre of how supply chain competency standards are defined and assessed at an international level. That depth of engagement with professional certification and supply chain instruction gives his panel contribution an analytical rigour grounded in the frameworks that define best practice across Ireland's logistics and transport sector.

His use of experiential learning tools further distinguishes his approach. As a certified trainer for The Fresh Connection, The Cool Connection, The Blue Connection, and The Triple Connection business simulation systems, O'Callaghan applies dynamic, scenario-based learning to cover financial supply chains, circular value chains, and sustainability in logistics and supply chain management, reflecting a commitment to developing practitioners capable of navigating the full complexity of modern logistics operations.

The Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2027 spans 33 categories recognising excellence across freight, transport, supply chain, warehousing, and sustainability, from Overall Logistics and Transport Excellence and End-to-End Logistics Provider of the Year to Green Supply Chain Excellence, Technology Provider of the Year, and Women in Logistics and Transport.

O'Callaghan joins Judging Coordinator Declan Allen of TU Dublin, Seamus Kavanagh of the Irish International Freight Association, Maurice Brady of TU Dublin, and Philip Tracey of Ace Express Freight.

The awards gala will take place on 4 March 2027 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, with entries closing on 16 October 2026.
