REGENT Craft, developer of Seaglider vessels, and Fairlead, a leader in ship repair, fabrication, and systems integration, have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the development, production, and deployment of REGENT’s innovative Seaglider technology for defense and logistics applications.

The collaboration merges REGENT Defense’s Viceroy and Squire platforms with Fairlead’s decades of experience in maritime engineering and systems integration. The partnership aims to reduce risk in scaling production, strengthen U.S. shipbuilding capacity, and deliver versatile maritime solutions to the Navy, Marine Corps, allied forces, and global partners.

Seaglider vessels offer high-speed, long-range, low-signature performance across diverse sea states. Applications include rapid ship-to-shore resupply, distributed operations, medical evacuation, contested logistics, and humanitarian missions. By integrating REGENT’s technology with Fairlead’s established manufacturing and testing capabilities, the companies can accelerate delivery timelines while ensuring operational reliability at scale.

Beyond defense, the partnership enhances logistics capacity for third-party operations. Leveraging additive manufacturing and scalable production, Seaglider platforms can support globally deployable, resilient supply chains for both government and commercial customers.

The initiative also represents a significant investment in U.S. industrial development, creating high-quality shipbuilding jobs and revitalising domestic maritime infrastructure. By manufacturing systems domestically, REGENT and Fairlead reinforce national resilience while maintaining rapid surge capability for critical maritime operations.

“This partnership is about speed, scale, and resilience as we embark on the future of American shipbuilding,” said REGENT CEO Billy Thalheimer. Fairlead leadership emphasised the collaboration’s role in advancing distributed operations, strengthening supply chains, and supporting readiness for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
