Logistics firm McGimpsey has marked 40 years in business with a remarkable 62 per cent boost in revenue, fuelled by nearly £2 million in technology and infrastructure investment. Now operating a fleet of 25 vehicles and employing 60 people locally, the Bangor-based company has grown from a family-run house-moving service into a trusted partner in specialised logistics across sectors like medical, banking and tech.

Under the leadership of Melissa and Steven Gibbons, McGimpsey is expanding rapidly, including a strategic partnership with Bishopsgate and plans for a new depot in the south of Ireland. The company now supports over 1,000 specialised deliveries and 100 house moves every month.

McGimpsey’s story is a sharp reminder that strategic reinvestment, tech adoption, and customer-led service design can still redefine legacy logistics businesses.
