Global supply chain consultancy SCALA has overseen a major overhaul of home appliance company Versuni’s logistics operations, leading the transition of its UK and Ireland 4PL activities to a new third-party logistics (3PL) provider. The shift aims to enhance service reliability, simplify logistics management, and improve delivery performance across B2B, ecommerce, and retail channels.

Versuni, known for brands such as Philips, Saeco and L’OR Barista, sought SCALA’s expertise to manage the complex changeover due to its lack of a UK-based supply chain team. SCALA coordinated detailed planning, stakeholder engagement, and integration with Versuni’s SAP systems to ensure operational continuity during the handover.

The new 3PL provider operates from a shared-user facility in Kettering, which allocates more than 7,000 pallet spaces for Versuni products. The site delivers end-to-end logistics services including import receipt and checking, retail order picking, returns processing, and reverse logistics. This approach is designed to strengthen responsiveness and efficiency while supporting growing regional demand.

Versuni’s senior warehousing and distribution manager, Bartosz Gruszczynski, said the transition was critical to maintaining service levels in two strategically important markets. “Through strong collaboration with SCALA and our new 3PL provider, we achieved a seamless handover. The result is a more robust, reliable logistics model that gives us the confidence and capacity to grow in the region,” he said.

SCALA executive director Phil Reuben highlighted the success of the project as a model for effective collaboration and focused delivery. “This project shows what can be achieved when there is alignment on objectives and commitment to performance,” he added.

The transition places Versuni in a stronger position to scale its operations and deliver consistent service excellence across multiple channels.
