United States-based XPO Logistics has extended its partnership with UK kitchen and homewares brand Joseph Joseph to manage global forwarding from China to the company's warehouse in Rugby, according to a report in Parcel and Postal Technology International.

The enhanced contract will see XPO Logistics manage Joseph Joseph's orders, supplier profiles, freight logistics from China to the UK and end delivery to the e-fulfilment hub. XPO Logistics will manage the entire supply chain from source to end-customer delivery.

Chief Supply Chain Officer Sacha Vaughan stated: "We've been delighted with the progress we've made with XPO Logistics since our partnership began six months ago. So, expanding the partnership to include our global forwarding needs was an obvious choice."

According to XPO Logistics, its proprietary technology gives Joseph Joseph end-to-end visibility from order creation through delivery to the end customer, connecting every milestone in real time including orders, purchase orders, container movements, customs milestones, arrivals and final distribution.

Senior Vice President of Forwarding for Europe Christophe Verot added: "We are thrilled to be expanding our existing partnership with Joseph Joseph into global forwarding, an area we excel in. Our portal offers not just real-time tracking but the assurance that every logistical aspect is always in hand."

The partnership reflects Joseph Joseph's strategy to consolidate logistics operations with a single provider capable of managing both international freight forwarding and domestic distribution. XPO Logistics operates warehousing, transportation and supply chain services across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific regions.

Joseph Joseph designs and manufactures kitchen tools, utensils and homeware products sold through retail channels across multiple markets. The company requires logistics partners capable of managing complex international supply chains whilst maintaining inventory visibility and delivery reliability.
